After the renovation of this villa in Marrema I was asked to paint some sky and clouds on the bedroom ceilings and a panelled staircase leading up from the hall.
I asked Daniel Cavey to help as Caterina Enni was away and he build some strong wooden scaffolds so I could paint the curved ceilings. Daniel also helped with the drawing out of the painted architecture.
Robert Kime did the Interiors of the Reception rooms and my pallet was taken from there. The style is from the 1830’s and quite typical to villas of that region if they were not going for the full on medieval revival which came a bit later.
